*Triple P- The Power of Positive Parenting
Parenting now comes with an instruction manual!
Whether you’re a parent, a practitioner or an organization that works with parents, the international award winning Triple P – Positive Parenting Program®, backed by over 25 years of clinically proven, world wide research, has the answers to your parenting questions and needs. How do we know? Because Triple P researchers have listened to and worked with thousands of parents and professionals across the world. They have the knowledge and evidence base to prove that Triple P works for many different families, in many different circumstances, with many different problems, in many different places!
Every Kid In Our Communities of Leeds and Grenville is pleased to be able to provide this “evidence based” positive parenting program to parents in the many communities of Leeds and Grenville. Our member organizations recognize the important job parents have in raising asset rich kids. The future of our kids –and our future – is in the hands of today’s parents. We know that every parent needs the support of family and of the community and its organizations. Triple P seeks to provide all with the best advice available.

Did You Know? Parents can access this program in 3 different ways:
- Group format – hear other parents’ experiences and what tools/strategies have worked for them and work with a trained facilitator.
- Individual format – get the exact support they need for their situation by working with a trained facilitator.
- Online format – go through the videos and information wherever and whenever a parents wants.
Parents can call the Health Unit at 1-800-660-5853 and ask for Triple P Parenting or email them at triplep@healthunit.org for a free code to the online program or to be matched with an agency offering group or individual Family Transitions.

Efficacy of Online with Parents of Children with Conduct Problems:
The answer to the Counselling and Triple P Question:
“Levels 1-3 are best thought of as brief anticipatory information based, developmental guidance and practical parenting advice for common everyday concerns in raising children. It is brief, anticipatory, of relevance to a wide range of parents and designed to be delivered in a self regulatory way. This contrasts with more intensive counselling interventions are typically more intensive, targeted and require more specialised skills. Levels 4 and 5 could be considered a form of counselling. All interventions work best when delivered with compassion, good communication and an understanding of the parents daily experience in raising their children” Professor M. Saunders

Revised Budget Sheet for Grant Change request -Sep 28 2011 (3)
Partnership Agreement – dd – Nov. 2010

Changes to grant proposal as result of TPI changes, Oct 2011
Due to fact that TPI changed Level 2 individual from 1 day of training to 2 days plus a half day accreditation which made it impossible to do within the grant as daycares, health care providers and schools can’t take that much time for training. Changes include a relationship building and information strategy for those partners and requested and approved extension of hired staff position to address goal of engaging these sectors. Same goals, different process. The details are in the revised grant above. Includes an earlier completion of interim report so that Year 2 money can be released early to ensure seamless funding.
